Eighty-eight Percent of FORTUNE Global 500 Companies Utilize Blue Coat Appliances to Improve Application Delivery

Blue Coat Systems, Inc. the technology leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced that 88 percent of FORTUNE Global 500 companies utilize Blue Coat appliances to improve application delivery. In the 2010 ranking by FORTUNE, the 100 largest companies in the world are Blue Coat customers as are 49 of the 50 most profitable companies and 45 of the 50 largest employers. 

In the U.S., 96 of the 100 largest companies utilize Blue Coat solutions, including the 45 largest companies in the country. According to the 2010 ranking of FORTUNE 500 companies, Blue Coat customers also include the following:

• The 10 largest commercial banks

• The four largest beverage companies

Additionally, the five largest companies in Brazil and the two largest companies in Mexico have deployed Blue Coat solutions as have the 10 largest companies in Canada.

In Europe, the 50 largest companies have deployed Blue Coat solutions.  Across the continent, Blue Coat also counts as its customers the following:

• The 25 largest companies in Germany
• The 15 largest companies in Britain
